We believe the architectural lighting design process should be enjoyable for all involved; we like to engage, educate and inspire people. We collaborate closely with all members of the design team, believing that continuous, open dialogue facilitates a better finished product.
The architectural lighting design process is typically based on RIBA recommended stages. These comprise:
Concept Design: production of lighting design concepts and documentation.
Schematic Design: development of the design, with other consultants.
Detailed Design: detailed documentation and coordination to allow the project to be tendered and the contractor to understand the build requirements.
Design Implementation: site meetings, mock-ups and commissioning of light sources and control systems.
At all stages we collaborate with the client and design team to ensure that the buildability, maintainability, longevity and affordability of the design are continually tested against the aspirations of the project.
